The perfect New Zealand wave, a nice peak, not too big and not too small, we designed it, because we can. Living so close to some of the world best surf spots we again got inspired by nature for a flowing engagement ring design. The first ring was done in 9ct rose gold and set with a pear shape hydro synthetic emerald. It was an exhibition piece for the Oakura Arts Trail back in 2016 and on display at the Korver Molloy. Since then we have experimented with different gemstones and colour combinations of gold and silver. Handset in a rub-over setting. The setting can be a little bit of a challenge for our jeweller, as it has to be perfectly carved out in the shape and size of the stone.
Titled “the green room’ is referring to the space inside of a wave.
